The Gagarin Airport of Saratov under construction (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) is presented at the 12th International Forum Transport of Russia that opened today in Moscow. The architectural model of new ‘air gates’ of the region and the interactive presentation appear on the stand of the Airports of Regions Holding accommodated on the site of the Gostiny Dvor exhibition center. The installation makes possible for visitors to evaluate the architectural look of the new Saratov airport and become aware of key technical indicators of the project.
Note that the Transport of Russia exhibition is the country’s largest annual forum presenting achievements of Russian regions and companies in the sphere of upgrade of transport infrastructural facilities. Over 100 Russian companies and organizations participate in the exhibition this year. Heads of federal government agencies, governors of regions and chief executives of foreign and Russian majors visited the exhibition.
The overall readiness of the passenger terminal in the Gagarin Airport has already reached 72%. Activities are underway in the building on fine finishing of passenger service areas, installation of utilities and mounting of equipment, including nine elevators and six moving stairways, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Internal power supply, water supply and emergency fire extinguishing networks are laid.
More than 1,000 builders and 60 machines are engaged in construction of the service area facilities, comprising the passenger terminal, the block of office and operating buildings, landside and other installations.
