The VIP lounge of Gagarin international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) has been honored to become a recipient of prestigious architectural Best Office Awards 2020, Business Space in Public Interior nomination. Overall 158 projects have been nominated for the Awards this year, with well-known architects and key persons of the real estate market sitting on the jury’s expert board.
The VIP lounge was designed by VOX Architects, outer space being a reference point for Gagarin airport’s interior solution. The space exploration theme is represented both directly – in the form of Yuri Gagarin’s effigy placed in the conference hall – and indirectly: in architectural images and colour schemes.
