Gagarin International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC) held a show of custom vehicles, equipment, special transport and airfield machinery. As part of the show, the operability of 172 vehicles was checked. A whole fleet of snow ploughs as well as deicers (special aircraft deicing vehicles) are ready for winter operations. Fire-fighting and rescue equipment is on standby.
Round-the-clock cleaning of airfield infrastructure in winter season is carried out. First and foremost, the runway, lighting and signaling equipment, taxiways and aircraft parking areas are cleaned.
Gagarin Airport’s fleet boasts modern custom vehicles including snow ploughs, airfield haulers, baggage carts, apron buses, self-propelled staircases and belt loaders, tractors, as well as cars from various services.
